Pacific Bell participated in the national NAMES Project as a tribute to employees lost to AIDS. The concept for the quilt panel needed to represent both the corporation and the personal and tragic nature of the memorial. After much deliberation, we proposed that employees submit fabric swatches that memorialized individuals. We designed the material into miniature AIDS awareness ribbons and hand-stitched them into a quilt. The piece traveled through the company's statewide corporate offices before becoming part of the national memorial. We also created a limited-edition fine art lithographic poster reproduction.
